OPEN GYM INFORMATION

All open gyms will be held at Brooks Elementary School 
Tuesdays - 3rd/4th will practice from 6:30-8pm. 5th/6th will practice from 8-9:30pm. 
Thursdays - 5th/6th will practice from 6:30-8pm. 3rd/4th will practice from 8-9:30pm. 
TRYOUT INFORMATION
Players must be registered prior to attending tryouts. Click here to register. NOTE: all grades should attend all dates for the best opportunity. Although encouraged to attend both, players must attend a minimum of one of the tryouts sessions to be placed on a team.

All tryouts will be held at Moon Area Middle School in the Main Gym.

Saturday, September 28
6th grade: 12-1:30pm
5th grade: 1:30-3pm
4th grade: 3-4:30pm
3rd grade: 4:30-6pm

Sunday, September 29
3rd grade: 12-1:30pm
4th grade: 1:30-3pm
5th grade: 3-4:30pm
6th grade: 4:30-6pm

The Moon Varsity Basketball coaching staff will be the evaluators. Evaluations are closed to parents. Only coaches and players will be permitted in the gym.  It is important to have players there at least 10 minutes early and ready to go so we can begin evaluations promptly. Please have your child wear a jersey with number on it. If they do not have a jersey, a red, white, or black t-shirt is preferable. 

Once evaluations have concluded, coaches will be selected and finalized. From there, teams will be compiled. Parents will hear from either a coach or MYBB on the outcome. 

It is likely that some players will not make a team this season. Please know MYBB and coaches do not take these decisions lightly. There are multiple opportunities to continue playing in different programs, including the Moon Parks and Recs in-house league that will begin in January.
